After confirming that the gutta-percha points are well placed then is the time for the restoration to be done to fill in the tooth structure lost during the cavity preparation. A tooth-colored restoration is desired by patients to maintain aesthetics. Radiographs taken after the last restoration verify the effectiveness of root canal therapy.
