The gutta-percha points should fit snugly enough that you can predict what the final outcome will look like before you begin the process. The point will be able to fit when the previous procedure was carried out correctly. This will ensure that the end result is reliable and perfect. Once the gutta percha points have been properly placed, it is time to make the restoration to repair the tooth structure that has been damaged. For aesthetic purposes the majority of patients opt for an amalgam-colored crown. A radiograph taken following complete root canal treatment confirms the success.
